The NPO young bird race from Soissons (356 km) had a very late release at 13:45 hrs with a north wind, in which Team Eijerkamp entered 74 youngsters. Based on the speed in the shortest distance, we calculated that we needed to clock around 19:26 hrs. But nearly three minutes earlier, "Marek", NL25-1161849NL25-1161849 came rocketing home, recording a speed of 1,068 m.p.m. and immediately surpassing the fastest time up to that point. Then the waiting began for the official result — and "Marek" remained on top, winning 1. NPO Soissons (356 km) against 7,056 pigeons in Section 8.

'Marek' was bred in the champion loft of R.C. Bakker (Dolf and Ruud) in Zoelen. His sire, NL22-443, had already produced this year’s 1. National Issoudun winner for Bakker and now again proved himself as the father of another NPO winner. The Bakker loft is regarded as one of the strongest satellite lofts of Gerard Koopman. Over the past years, their pigeons have won numerous races at federation, provincial, NPO, and national level, establishing the Bakkers as one of the top lofts in the Netherlands today.

Our next three pigeons arrived together at 19:27 hrs. With sunset approaching, only about 10% of the birds had returned, making this a very tough race. The final result in Section 8 against 7,056 pigeons was: 1–12–16–17–19–23–37–44, and so on.

The opening middle distance race of the 2025 season from Soissons (356 km) turned into a great success for Team Eijerkamp. Under ideal conditions, a total of 19,280 pigeons were released at 09:30 hrs in Soissons. Among them were 64 pigeons from Lotte Eijerkamp and 66 from Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp. The birds had a smooth start from the release point and faced an east-northeast wind along the route home.

In Flying Area Southeast, competing against 4,628 pigeons, the results were nothing short of outstanding: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 17th, 20th, and many more top prizes.

The winner for Lotte Eijerkamp was the yearling hen ‘New Steady’ (NL24-8207517NL24-8207517), a direct daughter of the top racer- and breeder Steady Euro"Steady Euro", who ranked among the Top 10 National Ace Pigeons in the Netherlands for three consecutive years. The mother of ‘New Steady’ is Ramisha"Ramisha", a proven breeding hen from the golden pairing Viton"Viton" x Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs"

Another standout in this race was ‘Lady Lila’ (NL23-9099854NL23-9099854), who placed 6th against 4,628 pigeons and was the 4th arrival to the loft and who also is a direct daughter of Steady Euro"Steady Euro" underlining the dominant influence of this exceptional cock in the Eijerkamp breeding lofts.

The pigeons were released on Sunday at 14:00 hrs with a strong southwest wind, after the race had been postponed from Saturday.

At 16:53, the first two pigeons were clocked in the same second. Both cocks were already proven top birds.

The winner, 'Athos', (NL23-9100005NL23-9100005) claimed his second 1. prize in strong competition. He is a son of Herby"Herby" × Rachel"Rachel"

Just beaten by his loftmate and finishing 2. Provincial with a speed of 1634 m.p.m. was 'Helios'. This crack has also won many top prizes, including a first prize. 'Helios', NL23-9100013NL23-9100013, is a son of 'Lion' × Gucci Grizzle"Gucci Grizzle", the 1. Provincial Ace Pigeon in Speed/Natour 2022, bred from the top pair Viton"Viton" × Daughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs"

Another super result in the second Middle Distance race of the season in which Team Eijerkamp won 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 15, 19, etc. against 3,820 pigeons

The first cocked pigeon 'Hurricane Hannah', NL24-8208193NL24-8208193 is direct daughter Hurricane Hans"Hurricane Hans" 2. Nat. Ace pigeon Youngsters 2019 as well as he was proclaimed 7. Semi National Ace pigeon One-day Long Distance N.U. in 2020. Hurricane Hans"Hurricane Hans" is son of 'Olympic Hans"Olympic Hans" and Indy"Indy". The mother of the winner is direct hen from Dolf and Ruud Bakker from Zoelen NL23-9173333NL23-9173333 'Beauty Present' and she is half-sister to their superhen 'Saraly' who won 2x 1. NPO in the One-day Long Distance races at their loft.

The second prizewinner arriving together with the winner is again 'Lady Lila', NL23-9099854NL23-9099854' who last week also was in toppositon and 'Lady Lila' is daughter for Steady Euro"Steady Euro" and Moira"Moira"

The almost 32,500 pigeons, section 8 and 9, were released at 07.30 hrs. and the Eijerkamp lofts in Brummen particpated with 122 pigeons in this race, 60 for as Lotte Eijerkamp and 62 for Hans en Evert-Jan Eijerkamp. The distance to Brummen is 373 km and the pigeons were released with a East-Northeast wind while they had a perfect start for this 2nd Middle distance race of the season.

The first Speed/Natour race from Tongeren (152 km) resulted in an amazing performance in the South East Region, taking 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 12 - 13 - 14 - 20 - 21 against 3,336 pigeons. The pigeons were released at 09:25 hrs, and the first bird was clocked on the Benzing system at 11:12:50 hrs with a speed of 1,414 m.p.m.

The winning pigeon, ‘Firefly’ (NL22-8228855NL22-8228855), is a proven hen, having placed 27. National Ace Pigeon Middle Distance in De Allerbeste in 2024, winning many top prizes. ‘Firefly’ is a daughter of Olympiade Stefaan"Olympiade Stefaan" × ‘Hurricane Jackpot’, the latter being the last daughter ever bred from Vetblauwe Jackpot"Vetblauwe Jackpot"

The race scheduled for Bierges was moved back to Luyksgestel (110 km) due to strong clouds and the pigeons were released at 15:20 hrs with a north wind. The first pigeon arriving at 16.59 hrs made a speed of 1,111 m.p.m. while the overall result showed another big victory in the Regio Southeast against 2,994 pigeons winning 1-2-3-4-6-10-11-26-28-29-30-31 etc etc.

The winning hen 'Jona' NL24-8207487 already topped the top 10 in the Regional list 2x times before and she is bred from 'Ronald', a son for 'Turbo Olympiade' X 'Naomi'. Mother to 'Jona' is 'Brenda', who is bred from the 'Vetblauwe Jackpot' X 'Honda'

Superb finish in the last Provincial Middle Distance race of the Old bird season with 2, 3, 6, 9 and 13. Provincial against 5,612 pigeons in this race.

The pigeons from Section 8 (5,612 pigeons) and section 9 (6,223 pigeons)were released together at  07.45 hrs in Chalons en Champagne (373 km) with small headwind and on the road mainly South-southwest wind. Team Eijerkamp entered 84 pigeons for this last Middle Distance race.

A magnificent result in the youngbird race from Bierges 187 km in which the EIjerkamp youngsters did an amazing job.

In the region against 2,410 pigeons they are winning  etc etc. in which the winning pigeon NL25-1096009NL25-1096009 won this third race.

In the region, against 2,410 pigeons, they took the top positions: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 9 and so on. The winning pigeon, NL25-1096009NL25-1096009, claimed victory in her third race. She had not been raced the previous week, yet now she won convincingly, finishing just ahead of two of her own loftmates. NL25-1096009NL25-1096009 was bred from a son of Jayden"Jayden" paired with the super hen 'Breaking Euro'.

The pigeons were released in Étroeungt (northern France) at 11:40 a.m., at a distance of 276 km, with a northeast wind.

Team Eijerkamp entered a total of 150 pigeons for this third short-distance race, and the birds returned superbly to the lofts in Brummen. Competing against 2,142 pigeons in the federation, the results were amazing: 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th etc. and 101 prize cards were won out of the 150 pigeons entered.

The first arriving pigeon was our yearling hen 'Maja' who won 1st against 2,142 pigeons and 2nd against 5,242 pigeon in the region. 'Maja' is bred from 'Benjamin Hans', the last son ever bred from Olympic Hans"Olympic Hans". Mother to 'Maja' is a direct Ruud en Dolf Bakker (Zoelen) and daughter to their Nr. 1 breeding cock 'Germiny'

The National race with 32.676 pigeons were released at 07.00 hrs including 43 pigeons for Team Eijerkamp at Issoudun with a north wind turning into a south west wind. At 14.38.28 hrs, with speed 1,410 m.p.m., the yearling hen 'Janica', NL24-8207485, was clocked winning 1. prize in Flying Area South against 1,983 pigeons and also 4. NPO against 3,888 in Section 8. In the National list against 32,812 pigeons we started 25-35-37-88-131-141-164-167 etc etc.

At the end we won 37 prize cards of the 43 pigeons entered in Flying area South 1-3-4-7-9-11-15-16 against 1,983 pigeons

'Janica' is bred from 'Daryal', a proven son of the Vetblauwe Jackpot"Vetblauwe Jackpot" when paired to 'Sara', a direct hen of Dolf and Ruud Bakker.
