Today marked the first training flight of the 2026 season, and we were very much looking forward to the start of the racing season, with pigeons anticipated both in Brummen and in Laren.

In Laren, the home base of Arnold Paalman, well known for top pigeons such as Zoe"Zoe", Olympic Evelyne"Olympic Evelyne" and Olympic Amber"Olympic Amber", the arrivals were closely followed. Likewise in Brummen, Michal is responsible over here, while Oliver is currently with his racing team in Belgium and once again the team showed great potential.

In this article, we present the arrivals of the H en EJ Eijerkamp and Eijerkamp-Paalman pigeons, listed in order of arrival. Leading the group of Paalman was the hen Mealy Rocket B24-6033898B24-6033898, who showed excellent form by taking the first position. Leading in Brummen was NL25-1094772NL25-1094772, grandson of Geeloger"Geeloger". Our number two arrival in Brummen was NL25-1095554NL25-1095554 a grandson of Luka Modrić"Luka Modric" and Viton"Viton" andDaughter Goed Grijs"Daughter Goed Grijs".

The pigeons were released at 09:35 for a distance of 89.870 km, with a southeast wind accompanying their flight, making for fair but slightly testing conditions.

A remarkable detail was the strong influence of Geeloger"Geeloger" in Laren, a direct daughter, 25-109501225-1095012, secured an impressive 4th place. In Brummen, in our top ten, 5 were also offspring from Geeloger, one direct daughter and 4 grandchildren. Also worth mentioning is that a daughter of Henk Douna’s top hen Ireen NL20-1054798NL20-1054798 delivered an excellent performance, arriving 2nd in Laren.

A promising start to the new season, with many more races to come.
